Can u get 8x3 pb in it m8 , I need a new van got transit connect lwb but can only get 6x3 in

Yeah 8x3's no problemo! i was debating buying a rhino 3m pipe tube but the 3m skimming beads just fit in the back fine

get a 2wd pickup easy to load 8x4, takes one ton of sand,i would not want to go back to a van

Tube could be a good investment saves um gettin bent when stuff falls on them , and end up lookin like a arch bead !

yeah true, i only bought the van yesterday so im still to build some shelving and some custom pole / trowel / hawk holders, the tube is defo on the cards just not a priority atm as they fit fine on the inside

What about your tools at nite Malc ?

do you know that is something that i have never thought about. i live in an area of very low crime, it even gets in the local paper if someone has a bike stolen.
all our tools, drils, mixers lay outside ,in the road all night, in fiffty years of plastering i have never had any tools stolen.
i hope that the times dont change!

I've had a ton bag of sand in the back of the van with 8x4's on top. What do you do when you've got plasterboard on and it's pissin down?

we put the plasterboard under the cover when it is pissing down.
if you look at those bags of sand that you purchase from the builders merchants they are not one ton but 3 quarters of a ton. they will charge you about £40 for 3 quarters of a ton. we pick up at pit £13 for a full ton.

I'd have a decent pick up if they were more practical but the amount of tools I carry they wouldn't be big enough. Gets a bit **** driving a van all the time when I haven't got a car.

T5 would be my choice all day long, but id hate to ruin it. T5's are for day vans or campers. I reckon toyo. HiHoaxes would be my choice.

My mate owns a garage that service most of a local towns vans. When I was buying a van he reckoned either a t5 or a hiace. Both great vans. Don't think you'd go far wrong with either.

They have stopped making the hiace as it was but are bringing out a new van in the spring I think in conjunction with Citroen and Peugeot called the Proace. The T5 is a good motor and the Vito has some decent load lengths with a handy channel going from back to front under the drivers/passenger seats I believe.
i have a metal tube on the roof rack for beads but when customers ask me what's in there? I reply its where I hide the cash from the misses!

I've got a transit connect swb it does me fine I've got a roof rack so 8x4 slide straight on top and all my bags in the back with my tools, just wish I had more power

Have it remapped mate, go to martin at vantuner.co.uk, he does all the transits etc for the transit forum and highly recommended.

What ever you have got will do fine,do like my T5 though, but used to manage with Escort, then a Berlingo, then a Dispatch, then a transit, now a T5.They all do, just depends on wat you you want it to do.At the end of the day its to earn you money first, then anything else after.

Cool will look in to it are they expensive.?

Tell martyn n8rbos off here, ldv forum and transit forum recommended him to you ;) probs cost @ £150-200, its vantuner.com not co.uk. Theres loads of info on his site for you. There are loads of sites but because of the foums i belong to i know he comes highly recommende, in chats with him he is knowledgeable and very helpful. When i've fitted my intercooler and altered the turbo boost vantuner will alter my ecu for @25 bhp, the more recommendations to him the less i pay lol. He does loads of diferentengine types.
