plaster drying quickly

Hi guys, please be gently as new to this game0
Just plastered a wall in my house about 12ft long so good wall to start on!! I did two coats and all went on brill, but however it's almost completely dry in a day? Any ideas why?

Is the heating on or does it back on to a fire ?

Could be your heating or the heating on the opposite side of the wall or the sun streaming in, might not be a problem unless it crazes or cracks a lot.

Heating on low, and backs onto a outsdie wall. Could it be down to application, i.e. Coats not at correct depth

So two skim coats , I would not unduly worry, wait a week or more then come back and ask...

did you apply backing coat or is it just an overskim?

How old is the house, some old walls suck and dry qwik.Did the plaster go on and trowel up ok.How long did it take start to finissh

how do you mean completely dry? Is it a light pink colour?

Sorry for ignorance, backing coat? I pva'd several times and last one was tacky when I started and applied two coats. It went on okay and trowelled up good. It's is a old house!!
