We have been offering this model in one form or another since 1998 - it's a good general mixer for handling 2 to 3 bags or backing coat on the lower speed, or knocking out a bucket of skim finish in no time on the faster setting. Same power and torque as the venerable Bosch GRW11E but without the premium price. Single hand control but with frame for easy control/setting down.

We had a Perle's mixer when I first started with the firm I worked for back in the day.

It was bigger output bit a fantastic mixer and never broke once. It mixed everything.

I have seen these smaller 1150 watt in power tool shop bit can't say how they measure up to the 1600 and above

Not yet...give it time.

Although latest regs do require the 'hold on' button is disconnected - you cannot set it to run without your finger on the trigger.
