hi i have a job on thursday which i have to patch in smooth render there are a few patchs, one about 1m2 and a few more smaller then that. i have never done any rendering before ?? but i thought that this would be a great job to start. i thought i could put rapid cement in the scratch coat at 4 - 1 and top the same say with 5-1 ? im not sure about waterproofer ?? or febmix ?? it would be a great help if you could help guys. by saying how u would do the job and what method thanks guys

Yes, Weber ocr would be good. Not too hard or soft. Try insulation stockist rather than a builders merchant for it. If its thin you may get away with it in one day. If its thick then cheat a bit by using a frostproofer to accelerate or do it over two days

i have never used this stuff before but i have read up on it and it says its a one coat rend ?? but rigsby said i might get away it in one day? do i need give it a scratch coat then ? if i use the frostproofer how much do i put in ? and how much time will i have i to play with it ? do you guys use ur drill to knock it up or a mixer? how should i prep before if its back to brick ? thanks guys you have great help

If it's not to thick i'd just lay it on in one coat, or 2 passes in same day if a bit thicker.

Just mix it up in your grollia tub with your drill....

I did a porch to day built in 3.5n block. 10mm beads, 5mm scratch coat then turn back and put the second coat on. Done for 2.30pm. Sometimes putting it on in 1 coat can give you uneven suction so I prefer 2 coats so the second coat is more manageable.

I mixed it in a belle mixer and it was fine but it is best mixed with a whisk. No accelerator today but if you do use one start with 1 ltr per mixer full. I start first thing with 1 litre and increase it to 2 ltrs pro rota as I approach 12pm or am I never which one but noon anyway.
