out of date plaster

anyone ever used some seriously out of date multi and got away with it?

a tried to skim a little tiny area with plaster that was 7 mnth out oof date n as soon as a slapped it on the wall it went stiff a couldnt even bring it bk with a bit water a always check the date on the bag now

wonder why that is ? same with cement like, not so bad when concreting cos ya dont need so much time. i spose its cos the lime goes off or sommit.maybe a handful lime to bring it back? :-/

its cos in time moisture gets into the bag n the chemicals react it might look fine but it isnt

I've had out of date plaster go bothways gone off before you can get it off the spot and still troweling it 3hrs later where it aint gone off.don't touch it now used to be handy to carry half a bag for patching but i don't bother now.
