Options for a top coat on thistle undercoat plaster

I am re-tiling a bathroom but have a situation where about a one sq ft of plaster has come revealing block work. I have used Thistle undercoat plaster as a base and left 2-3mm room for a finishing coat before I tile over it. What options can i use as a final finishing coat given that its only a small size that needs covering. Would Toupret interior filler suffice? or must it be finishing plaster.

If your going to tile it just use any undercoat plaster you have left.

Give it a coat of watered down PVA first and before tiling it too. Good luck .

Just build up the tile adhesive
