Opinions on over skimming?!

What are your opinions on over skimming? im curious how other people do it if you are doing a job the same day do you put on two coats of pva and away you go, or can you plaster straight over this new stablising primer/plasters pre grit?


Another quick question how do you over skim atter ceilings the same day aswell?!

This has been covered soooo many times jacktheladd search for old threads. There is a current thread called Wickes pva which may help you out.

The Stabilising grit stuff has to dry I use to lay that on the day before

PVA is also fine, I leave it to go hard where I can to be honest.

For the artex ceiling once the pva is ready and its a heavy artex put a few handful of bonding in the first coat of multi finish so you can cover all the artex .makes the second coat a lot easer .good luck
