Old plasterboard

Further to a post on a quote i gave six months ago, i went for another look at the job yesterday to refresh my memory, there's some extras to be added but my main concern is the plasterboard thats been up for about a year, it's a loft conversion, whoever did the job tacked it then the builder and client fell out and it's been left till now. Im going to give all the boards a glue but in the ensuite it's MR boards, technically it needs bond-it but at £50 a tub for a small ceiling and two walls do you think PVA would be ok?
