It was over maite andy we only meshed that
Top coat was probably 10-13mm two passes wet on wet
Cracked really bad in places very fine cracks
It was cold and maybe we over floated it we did float it twice but I’ve done that with sand cement too and never seen that happen

Was this quite a while ago Dave? They definitely changed the makeup of OCR. The original stuff was 100% more prone to hairline cracks, the newer stuff seems fine as long as you don't put too much thickness on.

I've heard this but not experienced it.
I've found Weber OCR good.

As Andy says above I stay disciplined with the thickness, if I have to go chunky I don't mind bashing sharp in.


When using a small/fine grain sand and applying a decent thickness this can happen in traditional s+c mixes.

Maybe they formulated it too fine?

Whatever they’ve done mate if they advertise them as modern renders they shouldn’t be cracking :X3:
