newby needing advice please

Hi, Ive recently plastered a bathroom after removing tiles, walls were left with varying thicknesses of brick, render of a sort and plaster skim. i put on some multi, then it started to crack almost immediately.
I'm guessing that i should have pva'd, so its been done now and i intend using browning for deeper parts then finishing with multi.
Am i on the right track or any advice would be great.

Better off using Bonding coat on a "variety" of backgrounds" as you are describing, PVA is a must to control suction for both bonding and multi.

pva everything exept board mate couple of coats you cant go wrong
