got to say guys am all up for progress but danny......this site is like windows compared to mac mate.....to fussy and complicated for its own good. In my(rather negative, boo) opinion it's a step backwards from the more simpler and easier to read old layout.
I must admit ..... it has a very clinical look about it, very clean and sharp which in my opinion makes it look less friendly .. the old forum had a freindly feel about it.
I am sure there are many benefits to this new platform but can we give it a softer feel ?
I still have a long way to go to get it the way I think it needs to be.
I think its very simple to use and when I get the profile pages sorted there will be a lot more functionality.
I'm doing the best I can to make the move as easy as possible if you saw what I started with you would be impressed (i hope) with what it looks like now
Danny
PS keep the opinions coming I will do my best to make everybody happy
it feels too luminecent, i cant find the smileys, i wanted to say no to a thread and it said it must contain 10 characters, i liked the old style where you knew there was a new post in the section i was interested in apart from that we can swear which is f**k**g alreeet like
Just a few things, you cant see who is viewing a thread unless you scroll to the bottom, having it at the top like the old site is better, like youve just said its hard to notice what is a new thread, having the mods names the same colour as everyone else is a great idea Dont worry i will pick holes in it just need to find my way round and everything looks s**t at first i remember the first time i used a handboard and thought this is gonna be slower than a machine but once you get used to it you will find its better.
Thanks for helping me to get on the new site danny, will the new site get to no 1 on the google rankings as the old site did as you have to put .com on the end to get to the new one
By the way well done on the change over.
