Nela black edition

So..... When the hell are you meant to use it? Was a complete waste of £50 to be honest because I'm not doing all that sanding down s**t, shouldn't have to it should be good out the box
Shocking ain’t they literally used mine for about 2 minutes and now it’s sat in the van fkin shocking trowel wish I got a new REFINA super flex

This is the exact reason NELA offer a range of trowels. One will suit some, it wont suit others....

So you have given a trowel 2 minutes use and discovered its not great. If I am being completely honest here, that's not really giving it a chance. Is it definitely down to the trowel? Is it not down to the timing?

I’ve got a nick in mine today so if you don’t want it I will chuck you 5er and take it off your hands

What's this new black edition trowel like?

Is it a thicker steel than the original premium?

Also, when are they due in?

@Plasterers1StopShop

Same thickness as the MEDIFLEX, but narrower - giving it more rigidity. They sell incredibly well and the reviews are mostly positive (bar a few on here sadly)

I’ll update on stock Monday mate

Nah mate nothing like feels just a bit harder than mediflex but you have too understand its a narrow blade than that just giving it that harder feeling

Whats the difference mate is this a putting on trowel or finishing like a flex

By increasing the blade width slightly, on the Elite, I'm wondering if Nela might be trying to mimic the slight extra flex of a carbon trowel, using SS, but I could be miles off with my speculation. I don't even know what thickness the blade is, let alone what they're actually seeking to achieve.

What’s the point in having a trowel you can only use on certain times of a wall? Sounds like hard work to me! Bit disappointed in mine used it straight out of the box made a right mess... sanded it down and still made a mess didn’t have this problem with the REFINA flexi and that’s probably a thicker blade. £50 I’ll never get back
I.ll have it
