Neck pain

I wear a copper bracelet, take cod liver oil and see the chiropractor every 3 months. Still hobble about like an old man. Oh wait... I am an old man.

I get it when I stop working.

Had a few days off recently and the pain has started, right shoulder same place as always at the front, just a sharp aching when I raise my arm.

Woke up this morning with pain around my left shoulder blade, lower neck.

Same here mac, I'm ok while I'm busy, when I have some time off I'm as stiff as a plank with a sore back

I've been having problems with my knee on and off for a few years and now my back and shoulder with shooting pains down my legs ,i've had blood tests over the last couple of months and they said i've low vitamin D level which can cause all sorts of aches and pains so they've put on a coarse of vitamin D supplements

That's caused from working 7 days a week. :)

I'm not shoure if I so it in a magazine or on this site .A plasterer injecting steroid to his neck to stop the pain ????

Well went to the doctors this morning..flipping always feels like a waste of time ...gave me physio number to call and said to ice pack the fluid on me knee, try not to kneel or bend it and take ibrufon

I know a real good physio in mansfield if you would travel. He specialises in running so is very knowledgable about knees. Hes the chairman of the localn running club I go to.

Treat it like a sport. Jumping up and down of hop-ups, climbing ladders, stilts, on the feking go all day. Need your sleep, good food, and stretching. Plasterers are mad. Soon as Friday comes it's beer time. Rough as f*ck on Monday and do it all over again.

Ok lads b plastering 20 years know having a bit of neck pain .Has anybody experienced this?. I think b doing ceilings does not help

I try and see my chiropractor every two or three weeks. This helps with those sorts of things. I haven't see her for about 5 weeks as been to busy but just booked one for tomorrow as hurting now!

Are talking about your neck ? Because some las have b talking of other part of the body:muyenojado:

I'm 32 and had pains from the plastering for the first time this year. A few of the lads I work with that are 40+ are killed with back and shoulder pain. It is a seriously tough job on the body! Then you have some people saying plasterers were charging too much money at one time! I think any money a plasterer ever made was hard earned!

I have seen my mri scans my neck has ledge developed just around where my head sits when I am plastering ceilings not complaining it's some where to put my head when I have a kip :) plastering is hard on the body full stop already had 2 discs removed and in permanent pain in one form or another also watch out for the spine alignment after years of holding a hawk and pushing a trowel will send your spine into all kinds of hell, these days I price in the cost of my oesteopath ;)

That'll be the shandy mate

Overstretching causes a lot of problems.Years of plastering takes it toll on your body, anyone that says it does'nt is talking pure shtie.

Even after a plaster is removed, the bone is still healing. Sometimes physiotherapy/massage is needed to help you recover. Massage therapy involves exercises to improve muscle strength, joint mobility and balance. These exercises help you to safely return to normal activities. Check with a specialist physiotherapist, when you can start taking the treatment and take it.
