multi or board.... makes no difference.. best not to skim boards that are to be tiled on though, takes less weight when skimmed... however.. if you have an urgent desire to skim.. it makes no difference to the tiling...

Cheers @cassie, but wouldn't skimming the boards make it a little more waterproof and make it harder for the weight of the tiles to pull the paper off the boards ?

As per the title, which is best for tiling on ?
Rubifinish.:RpS_thumbup:...its like multi, but different, not as magical as unifinish tho.

Magnetic works well tbh, .in conjunction with gypmagnet board :RpS_thumbup:

top it off with metal tiles?? Win win win:RpS_thumbup:....

or just use bored finish.:rolleyes)

and I thought it was a misconception about the irish ..lol

No seriously, you know yourself if u wet plasterboard it gets soggy fairly quickly and the paper peels off. Whereas if u skim it , it protects it somewhat.
Just a thought, that's all

Thinking about it, a coat of SBR wouldn't do any harm I suppose, whether straight onto the board or on top of whatever finish is used, especially in showers etc . Or am I being too bib and braces about it ?:RpS_blushing:
