Yeah I've been doing that for years mate but will still sag along its length. The pink stuff goes up and stays up but it's not great for fraying, joins through the rolls and even blobs of adhesive throughout its length.

I put 1 at each end and aong width of each board if leaving them but i also 1 coat board so i dub joints out as i go anyway!

You'll never see me skim that amount of awkward stuff in a day, let alone a morning mate.
Three little curved-in ceilings and the window wall and that was me done.
