was wondering today when up a very great height as to why we can skim on to board ..... and yet skimming on to paper under normal circumstances is a nono ..... was hoping big segs could enlighten us with the make up of plasterboard being acceptable or whatever :> or is it simply magic paper ??? :)

id like to no this 2,.....sumit bout the wax maybe ....segs this 1 is for u and ur book of answers

In segs absence.......
I've researched it a bit and the paper on board is specially treated so it doesn't absorb the water as much or lose adhesion to the plaster in the board. Can you imagine if the water went through and soaked into the plaster? it'd all just mushaway from the wall.
Normal untreated paper absorbs all the water to saturation and effectively acts as if you had wet the paper to strip it. Then it just comes away from the wall.
Thats as I understand it anyway.

i like the magic paper theory best ( i also believe in fairies, elves and dragons)

that'd work.
I prefer the magic idea too though!
D'you think brickies sparks etc think we're fairies?
seeing as we come along and make thier s**t look good!
