The product just seals the structure. That's what the air pressure test in the film was all about.

Lots of passive/low energy properties are built to be as air tight as possible now.

I find passive houses really interesting because of the loe heating costs..... most dont have central heating and just rely on good insulation and the sunshine to keep them at the right temperature... not even alooud a letterbox...

Quite a few of the projects on grand designs are passive....

passivhaus standard is difficult to achiev unless you couple the huge amounts of insulation with mechanical ventilation and heat recovery systems and solar.
I think on a block wall with EWI you need around 220mm insulation board the requires u value is 0.15 and that is very low indeed.

alot of people aim for passivehaus or think they have it but they dont always

We've got a Passivhaus property to do shortly, at least it should be cool with all that insulation in.

That’s a material that is only sold in France,it’s for isolating purposes and there are French laws making that stuffnecessary

A passive house will have a ventilation system incorporating heat recovery technology.
