Little black spots

What are those small black tar like spots you get in new render and will they fade any ideas

It's oil in the sand and yes it will go :RpS_thumbup:

iam building a pond with block its been sealed with pva and first coat of render with waterproofer added to sand and cement mix but noticed black spots appearing do i need to worry or not before top coat goes on. ?

There's special paint you can get for ponds like this. I used to run an aquatics centre in my younger days.

no mate just skim it as normal or if you are unsure. use uni finish

PVA is a no go area for any water retaining structures , you should have used SBR, IMO never PVA, pva re - livens when it comes into contact with moisture so the render will delaminate from the sub straight ( block's ) that you PVA'd, so hack it of and start again with SBR once you have removed the pva , sorry to be the bearer of bad news pal...........
