Lime wash

I have a small room to reskim, in some areas there are patches where the paint has come away and underneath is lime wash. I'm going to reboard the ceiling to get over the problem there but any suggestion for the walls?

wash it off best you can then seal walls with a stabilising solution let that go off then pva and skim (thats what i do)

All I could find today was a stabilizing solution for artexing to combat lime wash and distemper would this do? And you recon I would still need to pva as usual

yep i recon so and yes you need to pva.

I would pva it and scrape it off as the pva weakens it, then pva again before skimming.
