I am currently constructing a home in timber frame with Rendaboard to the exterior face and 200x50mm oak beams planted onto the face of the Rendaboard. We want to render between the oak beams to achieve the final finish. My question is should I be using a Moncoushe or lime system. I have conflicting advice from opposing subcontractors! We have previously used the "planted beam" finish before on brickwork but not on timber frame and Rendaboard. Any advice, pros and cons, would be very much appreciated
