Lime on internal walls

Looking on a bit of guidance as I'll be using lime on an internal wall which has come up on a damp report. It's been a good few years since I've been at it and I want to make sure I buy the right type etc.

Even some pointers on a book would be brilliant.

Hi 3 coat system using a non hydraulic lime ( putty) scratch coat then allow to carbonated 1 week give or take ,floating coat same both approximately 9/12 mm thick obviously depends on wall being plastered, finishing coat lime putty finish with fine sand two coat lay first on with a wooden float allowed to firm up and payed down with a tight coat , allowed to firm right up then growled up ( you can scour it with a float and water and trowel in the fat leaves a nice finish)

Where you getting your sand from , or you using ready mixed?

Hi we are using ready mixed it’s easier and saves time from chalk down lime great material
