Many years ago I tried one (very early version), realised after some confusion that it would take a reading from almost anything in the room. For instance, tried to take a reading along a corridor on site but the machine locked ont a pair of steps the sparks had been using! It kept giving me false readings, so I binned it. Hope they are better now.
