the spec i have here is to put it 1-1 in every coat. maybe the architect has made his own version up
What is parmurex used for?
It's parex's basecoat mate, like OCR but better imo.
I couldn't get on with parmurex at all, really nice to lay on....But was really sticky to float and seemed to tear and rip....was rubbing up and spongeing like normal S&c in a stairwell.....
its more like a calc cement than ocr being sand and cement - treat it like a mono and you will never turn back, sprays wonderful.
What is calc cement? Never heard of it. I know of C&G but yet to try it.
It's not a cement , but a pre bagged finely crushed calcinated flint, which is mixed with lime in comes in the bag wet and they used to just use a small amount of cement to set it off, should imagine the closest thing to it is lime mortar really, there was a company that did a dry powder version but it came in a silo and had a great pump underslung on it, Sakret i think it was called, used to plough loads on
