Any of you guys skimmed the above ???

My QS has come back to me with a bill of quantities for a job I am pricing, there is a few hundred metres of Knauf fireboard in the stairwells.

I have never skimmed the stuff, is it the same as normal board ?? I have to know so I can price it correctly.

Thanks

if its normal pink board yes skim as normal

oasis green boards are usually moisture resistant boards and should be primed with bond it/wba before skimming

This isnt the usual PINK board this is white, 15mm thick with a kind of clay glassy feel to it and very heavy. This is not normal plasterboard.

dont just skim it rich it need gypbond or some thing to control the suction it sucks like a motherfucker usually used to box in steel's

SOUNDS THE SAME AS BG GLASROC BOARDS ,DOES IT LOOK LIKE PLASTERBOOARD WITH OUT THE PAPER ON IT AND A REAL SMOOTH GLASS FINISH TO IT IF SO SHOULD BE ABLE TO SKIM STRAIGHT ON,BUT BEST TO CHECK WITH KNAUF

look forward 2 it

Dont make me pull your pants down in front of your mates and smack your bottom chunky :)
