K rend over sand and cement scratch coat?

I'm rendering a house for a customer iv scratch coated the house ready for top coat but now the customer had seen the k rend finish on a friends house and has asked If Its possible to go over the s/c scratch coat with it. Iv not used k rend before so I'm a bit reluctant to do so incase it reacts different to it as i see k rend has its own base coat to use with the top coat. Iv been told K rend silicon ft is ok to use over s/c scratch coat? Has any one got any advise on this thanks joe

I did a k rend job over a s & c scratch coat an it worked fine, job was perfect,

Great cheers mate did you pva or put anything else on the scratch coat before k rendering it?

May want to get someone to give you a hand with the krend that has used the product before ,that why the customer gets a good job and you learn how to do for your next job :RpS_thumbup: best of luck with it

No mine had old render knocked of so i just sprayed the wall to get all the dust of the day before putting the beads an s&c scratch coat and then waited a few days before doing the knrend then scratched it back the next day mate

Just make sure u lay the k rend on at a 15 mm thickness.

Done as above! Old render properties, save money on krend back coat and use s/c.

And put plenty mesh around stress points.
