What mix of render would you use? Its going to ha\/e a wood burner so will get \/ery hot.

And can i use render beads on the angles or should you not due to the heat?

Was going to use lime to help allow for slight mo\/ement with the heat

Thanks all

KP

havent got a clue about the beads but i know you can get fire rated cement mate

cheers SB, i aint too sure either. I was under the impression i could use normal cement so will have to look into that

Anyone?? Im doing this tom right or wrong way :-\

dab it with firecheck ;D........ive s/c fireplaces and it did crack but it was stone behind and i didnt mesh it etc .........think back 100 years ....all open fireplaces and only lime or stone

ive done a couple where aga's have been installed an s+c has been fine and ive always used galv beads with no problems

Weak mix with lime keep the coats tight as poss 8mm max id use 6.1.1 with a 9.1.1 top coat
and i would free hand the angles
