How to price up a job

In starting my own business and have been plastering for 14 years but I've always worked for other people aN never had to price the work. Can anyone tell me how to price a job by metre squared

I'm in the same boat as you. It's something like the gas metre reading mulitplied by the electric metre reading, this giving a metre squared!

My point is all plasterers should have the same method for measuring up a job big or small and it looks like no one has a clue I'll just quick to do it the way I said, measuring the m2 of all surfaces.

Hahaha I fail to believe someone of 14 years on the trowel can't price a job.

In seriousness it would depend on whether your going through the openings or not, on linear metreage on revels etc
