Hi all. I completed my City & Guilds apprenticeship many moons ago but what with it being an ever changing world I honestly aint got a clue where I stand when it comes to applying for a C.S.C.S card?

Searching online it says I need to have NVQ's? I'm assuming this is an updated version of City & Guilds. So what do I do? Which card do I apply for? How long does it take? How much does it cost?

I still have my City & Guilds certificates. Surely this qualifies me as a plasterer?

If you've got your indentured papers they will ask you to scan and send them a copy of it and your certs, if you haven't got your indentured papers they will not accept your city& guilds qual I'm afraid.

When you did your apprenticeship you would have got papers to sign like a contract you need these otherwise no joy

That's just stupid. It was 1990 for fucks sake. Although it seems it was a waste of time whatever the year was

Do doubt they dish them out freely once you've completed a dogshit learn to plaster within 6 weeks course. Ridiculous!

In some quarters having a dirty bucket qualifies you as a plasterer.
