and dont forget about our precious car companies that got millions in handouts as well as the car scrapage scam.
Instead the govermant want to tax us (self employed builders) at a higher rate.
 
Agree with Steve, 2 weeker, been loads of these tools up for grabs, might sound harsh but if these lot pack in it's better for us, more work & better prices!
 
ive just bid upto 100 and realised the drills 240v :mad:...........bladerunner used once ;D ;D

As someone who yesterday took advantage of the scrapage scam I agree its f*ckin disgusting useing tax payers money like that.

How ever our car was worth about 30 quid, a P reg nissan micra with knackered door handle and lock clutch about to die and MOT due and they gave us 2 grand for it, and we got a Fiat panda for 5K.

We'd have been stupid NOT to take advantage of it, but from a general society point of view its a dissgrace.

Its actually quite a funky car, we went for the cheapest piece of shlt we could find and its only 35 quid road tax

Builders have suffered more than anyone in this recession! We don't get the huge redundency packages of Car workers or Steelworkers so Fcuk em!!!

I've been lucky as I wangled a temp contract working for council but when it's up in summer i can't see things picking up tom be honest!!! I'll be Back to selling my arse again :(

yeah but dont forget they pay for alan shearers taxis for match of the day from newcastle to london. alan hansens from liverpool to london. jeremy clarkson to drive to switzerland on a pedalo etc.

trouble is with the scrapage scheme is that its screwed it for those looking for a banger of a car....

My mate used to do well out of dealing crappy cars now he is retiring....

Running new gutter round a detached property next door was built 300mm apart got stuck in the gap twice and im only 12 stone i would have still been stuck there now if id been 20 stone also changed a load of cracked roof tiles scaffold comes down in the morning inside rest of the week plastering kitchen bathroom and hallway old bones ache tonight nurofen every two hours till 12 up bright and early in the morning cheers jim
 
nice to be doing something instead of plastering for a change though isnt it? i won't be doing much plastering for the next 2/3 months
