H Hils68 New Member Feb 7, 2024 #1 My plasterer is suggesting just above the air brick - that sits on ground level. Ie the base coat / top coat finish one brick up from ground level. Also do you need drip angle bead or regular stop bead ? It’s soft red brick in poor condition Attachments image.webp 1.2 MB · Views: 88

D Dansouthcoast84 Well-Known Member Feb 7, 2024 #2 you should finish DPC height or 150mm from ground. you can put an expansion bead along dpc height to render to ground

As said above at DPC level Don't guess work it Find the course with DPC, and that is where your join is, nowhere else. Ideally the two (render) finishes don't touch Have a break, few mil gap, bell bead for the break is best. I don't like stop bead or movement bead here - as they don't work as well.
