Plastered a Kitchen and Cloakroom this weekend for a kitchen fitter i know.
Old kitchen ripped out
Kitchen and Cloaks 3.7m x 2.5
Background was very uneven and a mixture of gloss paint/old plaster and tile adhesive so required WBA.
Ceiling was L & P with 2 lots of plaster board already on so had to reboard.
Bottom 1m all round had blown and there were several chases requiring filling.
3 doors and 2 windows
So spent then following time:-

Sat

08:00-10:00-Unloading van and removing blown plaster and setting beads
10:00-13:00-Bonding blown areas, leveling up uneven areas, loosening plug sockets/switches/lights etc and applying WBA to rest.
13:15-16:15-Boarding out ceiling and preparing to plaster.
16:15-18:15-Skim ceiling
18:15-19:00- Tidy up

Sun

7:30-8:30-Tidy up bonding and PVA'd ready for skimming
8:30-11:30-1st set to walls
11:45-14:45-2nd set to walls
14:45-16:00-Re secured sockets/switches/lights,tidied up,loaded van and collected cash ;D

So 19.5 hours in total.
How long should this take a full time plasterer
btw materials were £100 and i charged £400 all in but the customer gave me £450 ;D

sounds about right to me mate, good work and a nice little earner, keep it up 8)

you could have done it quicker .......but you wouldn't have got the extra 50 and you probably wouldn't have got paid fullstop........you took your time done a good job earned a few extra quid and will probably get recommended to other people ....no point trying to rush it mate and to be honest I'd have done it in 2 days myself mate ........but would have probably charged £500

Thanks for the replies chaps.
I could not of done it any quicker without cutting corners.
Thought it would take a full time plasterer 2x8hr days at around £500 to complete.
I am confident my speed will improve with more practice though.
Southernmonkey you are right there I am getting loads of recommendations and am struggling to fit everything in at the minute.
I have attached a few before and after pics of the job in question

id bang that in two days mate keep it up may the trowel be with you

u were right to 2 charge what u did 150 a day, very good, had u of said 500 then u probably wud not of got the job

;) ;) nice work kid
