how do you get a straight line.......

when skimming 2 sections next to each other but the angle is alot wider than a right angle. i done one today and after it all dried i stood back and it wasnt straight, looked pretty sh1t actually,.

you could try layin it on thick, do both sides together and use a straight edge to flatten off with... place it in the corner and pull it away both sides then just keep an eye on it as you top off and trowel up etc, use it again if need be..
if your angle isnt as tall as a straight edge (under a bay window say) a peice of 4" chamfered skirt cut to length will do.. :

i normally do these free hand, but you need to keep a eye on things. but i,ve seen it done with stop scim beads in the corners, edge to edge. hope it helps

really hard to get right ive found .......if they need to be good i do the firts side and fix some metal to it along the angle to work to
