Guidance required for problem as per photo please.
Plaster between concrete lintel and upvc window has broken away leaving a gap
of approx 1 1/4inches.Depth of plaster here is 1/2 in.
Could i use expanded mesh and one coat plaster as i will be wallpapering over it
Also will i need some sort of bonding coat for it to adhere to concrete.
Any help will be much appriciated

You could foam fill it, then cut the foam back and plaster it with one coat, wet the concrete beforehand should suffice for both foam filling and plastering.

Thanks johniosaif for your thoughts.
This hole goes up into the roof space therefore nothing
to contain foam. Perhaps i could attach mesh in some way
to concrete lintel to stop foam going into roof

If you don't want to use foam, cut out some mesh, wet the concrete and fill with a dense mix of bonding. You may have to use two layers of bonding, the first to hold the mesh and the second to fill the mesh entirely. Use warm water to make the bonding go off faster if you don't have dirty water. Scrape the bonding back level with the reveal and allow it to pull in before applying a top coat :-)

Go to your local builders merchants and ask for a 'handyboard'. Use a bolster chisel to square off the plaster on that window head and - after cutting the handyboard to size - stick the handyboard into the space, bridging the gap. When sufficiently set, skim it. :RpS_thumbup:

*Edit: a handyboard is 9.5mm thick.

** Or 9mm, can't remember now :RpS_blushing:

You could use drylining adhesive or a bit of 'pinkgrip' would work out cheaper for the amount required :RpS_thumbup:

Have squared up hole but have now found hole tapers down to 8mm therefore handiboard too thick.
Leaving no room for skim coat.
Thanks Very much for your suggestion.
Will have to try another way

Have been looking at the other suggestions to fill hole. With your suggestion
Could i use universal one coat instead of bonding coat
and should i need to wet lintel before applying
