Hi. I'm about to have my first go at rendering a 4.4 M long wall infront of my house. It is new breeze bloc on old red brick.

So attempt #2 happened.

My mix was much better and I only had a few issues when I applied too much too quick and it slumped away.

Then just as I lost the sun and the temp dropped a few degrees my mix became too wet and I guess the wall my have been too wet as well so I had more slumping sections. But only the last meter or so.

My plan is to let it cure then check the slumped sections and probably remove them and make patch repairs.

Anyone got any ideas that could help?

Cheers

Ben

So I floated 3 of the 4 faces today with a 6:1:1 mix and I am very happy with the results. What do you experts think? When sponging up is there any trick to removing the course grains of sand that come to the surface? Or is that the aim of the game?

Cheers.
