IMO most hessian is a bit lose weaved but and old cloth, tea towel or similar, doused in oil would be perfect. The old boys I knew just used to dry off their trowel at the end of a day and give it a quick rub on a floated wall if any rust had appeared over night/weekend.Any of you old boys know bout wrapped ye carbon towels in oil sprayed Hessian.
