Hardwall or Bonding??

Hi
I have an internal wall in Victorian property that is painted, the render is sound but the wall is very uneven. It’s a small wall 3m x 2.3m. If I unibond the wall can I level it out with binding or would hardwall be better ready for a skim coat? I thought about dot and dab but would rather not as I’m tight on space as it’s an under stair toilet space.

Many thanks in advance

Nick

I would pva it, use Carlite Bonding to float it, then skim with multifinish, provided the existing render is sound.
