Hi...I've posted something similar before but wanted advice on whether you think this will work.....
I recently dot and dabbed and skimmed a wall that had previously been skimmed. There was a double doorway in the wall previously as when you tap the wall you can hear part of it is solid and part is plasterboard. There were hairline cracks around where the original door opening was. Even after dot and dabbing plasterboard and then skimming it the hairline cracks have now appeared at the board joints which lead me to believe there must be a fair bit of movement in the wall.
I have only recently become aware of fibreglass mesh laid between 1st and 2nd coat. If i do this will this definitely stop any further hairline cracks?
Any help much appreciated
