And mate fair play to you and your right I did initially join because I had no reputation and needed work I'venever denied where I came from and don't deny how I started but I've evolved with it and learnt to use the sites, use the lots of feedback to my advantage and I've never stopped pushing the price....for any who think it's working for 100 a day it isnt
Mate, ive said all along you will go far from day 1.

I think you misunderstand my bluntness as criticisim at times.

Trust me youve only just started your journey in this/building game, you will go through different set ups alomg the way in which to run your outfit.

You have to remember there wasnt even the internet when such as myself started plastering the nearest thing to what your doing now was the yellow pages and flyers dropping/newspaper adds etc.

We all had to do it just like you ate dping your thing now to create a flow of work.

But trust me things do and will change for you and doors open up and you wont need the likes of my builder in time!

And mate you missed understand me, I've took no offence to anything you've said but I know lads want to earn money and if you've got sense these sites are goldmines and I know the 20+ lads don't need them but paint them in a bad light instead encourage the new lads to use the internet to their advantage and make some good money

And I agree @zombie my builder will be a thing of the past in a few years for me but we'd all use it if we needed it so don't like the bad light it gets....if there's any issue it's wank tradesman not the site, a wank tradesman can have a website or be in the yellow pages so the site is not the issue

How come you won’t be Plastering anymore after October @Lodan?
I've spent the last year working for a builder mostly and I helped him more and more with non plastering things. We decided to set up a limited company specialising in loft and garage conversions. Did a few jobs with a plasterer who is good and he wants the plastering work so I'm going to let him take it as to be honest I don't enjoy it...I'll still do all the boarding but never enjoyed skimming it's so harsh and I'm happy to step back from it

Yes mate it's what he was heading at buy struggled as a one band so I got asked to help with floor, velux, insulation etc and in the end we agreed it was silly and would be just more efficient as a two man....the only thing that scares me is vat as we need to register

Fair play mate I don't rate the site not only for some of the bad ones but the robbing c**ts charging extortionate prices for tradesmen to get a job not only are they unfair but they charge all four men just for being shortlisted. I've enjoyed reading your journey your a good lad hope the rest goes well for you all my love and kisses

I agree with you mate, the company rung me the other week and I told them it should be made clear to customers how the charges work to tradesman ie paying to shortlist and not getting the job, they flat out refused and said that wasn't the way they work knowing tradesman were charged would put customers off so I do agree

Thats it mate then the customers don't even have the decency to message back after you've been charged so there's a number
of things I hate about these sites other than dodgy tradesmen.

Yeah I get it, it's no way a perfect system but for the money I've put in I've had a good return so they can be easily workeable with a bit of savvy

I no you've made it work fair play to you mate. The system is designed for profit and more profit that's why there on the stockmarket now so I suppose for them it's a great system.
Anyway good luck with the lofts windows and floors I no you've got that salesman pitch going for you so I'm sure you'll do just fine.

Cheers mate, I'll do my best as always p.s follow the stock market and unless I missed it (more than possible) my builder and ratedpeople haven't floated (yet)

I forgot you said for the plasterer to come back to do the filling but even still that's a no no I'd be offended if I even had to offer that service after plastering it. You seemed to get quite upset for the customer not excepting that.

I always feel quite upset at a person not getting paid, nothing to do with plastering just an understanding of how hard life is, I still think (no where near ideal) but if he could fix it he should have been allowed....at the end of the day it's a ceiling, if it looks flat when it white and no misses it's ok
