do different make 3 phase machines have different kva ratings for the genny or is it similar for all ? cheers

about the same but you always want to go for the highest output you can, mine is a 15kva petrol and will not struggle as much as the 12.5. also different materail can put a higher strain on the genny.

the briggs and stratton is about 3400 plus vat (12.5Kva) and a Kohler is around the 4000 mark plus vat and thats the 15kva
