I got by for years with Escorts and a Berlingo, i had a piece of marine ply fitted to my roof rack on my Escort, 20 8x4 sheets on the top, troubl was getting out of 2nd gear.If its all tyou can afod you will get by.Just need to take out gear you dont need each day.
Any way way a Connect is smaller than a Transit so you will get less rust.lol
