Flexable Pocket door wall . Multifinish or joint filler plasterboard holes?

Hi,
I have installed a pocket door. The frame wall has flex as it only has thinner studs.
Is it suitable to put multifinish on this wall or will it be liable to crack.?
my alternative is just fill the holes in plasterboard with joint filler.
wall will be wall papered i think but felt plaster finish protects plasterboard surface better...
