there should be a bolt on there somewhere to secure it in position for depth cuts. pretty standard. its been on every cutter i used

Still impressed it went through the XPS to be honest.

There is the stopper at the top or bottom of the arm which will hold it in place. Will show you next time your down

Looks like a very easy way of cutting...

I had a loads of that insulated plasterboard and cutting that was a head ache and took forever...

Can't use hot wire for cutting PIR or any insulated plasterboard either for that matter. I made my own hot wire cutting table for cutting polystrene a while ago with a length of nichrome wire and a 12v power supply, the one above looks first class, I'd be cutting more than one of those sheets at a time on it though!
