Did one other day whith sand pva night before it took ages to go off when skimed next day

I have done it with sand,pva. Its OK but grit has a completely different make up.
And guarantee.

I never saw teh point with adding sand to PVA... as PVA re emulsifies anyway...

It seems to work though.done it on tiles a few times with no issues.though I grit now.

so you have never had a job that pva has failed? ive had a few usually happens on artex and distempter that we never knew was there!!

It just making sure the background ok it all about prep and it should be ok whith two coats of pva

danny ive never had any issue with bond it over any distempter or flakey paint!

Customer emailed , said the builder said you gave to prime the walls and ceilings before it’s multi finished , mmm I thought but I replied yes pva or a thistle bondit , he sent a Toolstation order , he has bought feb bondit and is going to do it tomorrow, I was going to simply pva it myself , hopefully it’s not f**k*d up
