Expert advice please

Hi All,

Just after some advice from the professionals. Recently paid to have a bedroom re-plastered last week and really disappointed with the finish. I’ve attached photos for reference, this is of just one wall. Looks lazy to me, and when I got them back in yesterday and was given excuses of the lightening was rubbish in the room, it was a hot day and tried blaming the old walls (this was before the cracks appeared). As we had already applied the thin white and started a base layer on one wall, they asked me to paint the rest so he could see where he had done a shite job and patch! Which I wasn’t having.

So I have asked for my money back as want someone else in to do it properly, am I in the right or should I give them the chance to sort out? Starting to think no PVA was applied to the wall before hand with the cracks appearing after 1 week? Apparently 2.5mm has been applied but you can see the old
Plaster on the window which makes me think they haven’t.

please let me know your opinions.

You could skim a cave wall and see those craters he’s left. Bad light- have lights in your van to help that.

Not excusing the shoddy workmanship, but I do have a question:

Is the underlying wall old (and possibly blown) lath and plaster?

I’m going cream cheese in brown bread….
Must be done by someone down south..possibly sourdough,northerners don’t use toilet paper of that standard…that’s double quilted right there!!!
