i was.getting more than 20 a metre labour only on the 1st eco 8 years ago!.lol

your right though.

domestics.
loads of taping. cleaning. no materials to be left out
.all walked back to compound every night. mid terrace house 15m2 each panel. then the crappy out houses...

ive tendered 130 houses for march start. may get this fella to do mine for 20 a metre then!
We did a decent size site last year of 52 plots, I was principal contractor on it.
The rendering bit is the straightforward bit, the other bit and time consuming bit is cleaning scaffolds off, paths etc taking/fetching all the gear to the site compound, all eats into your day.

Nah not guilty, I'm a tight Yorkshireman but I'm not that tight.

I only disagree with your persona, as I’m generally a half glass full type And like to be surrounded by positive people ideally, but I guess we’re all wired differently. There’s a bit of pressure keeping lads going, but construction on the whole is booming at present and well into next year, another reason why I disagree about your pessimism about the construction sector, there’s no downturn on the horizon, certainly not that I can see anyhow.
I do sometimes put pics on here but you’ve seen one render job you’ve seen them all.

Mountains of work must have all cards midlands area £20 per m2 100mm EPS Base and mesh, & silicone paid weekly on measure on completed houses only... If you want 5 houses I will give you 5 to get at... if you want 20 i will give you 20... if you want 100 i will give you 100... No chancers...
Is your name Anthony?

There's about 20 bulgarians in the town centre near me rendering f*** off in massive block of flats knocking up the gear with b&q drills and paint whisks

mate has his own scaffolding buisness ,employs 28 people in total including office staff/mechanic/labourerers scaffolders etc, i know what his outgoings are on a weekly basis just to stand still pay wages/rates/electric/ and so on and so on,......and it scares me,...he tells me it can be a worry when he has to much work on and it can be a worry if he has not enough work on,.................thats why i have a lot of respect and admiration for people like yourself and my mate, personally its not for me ,always been happy just plodding along, keep costs down, have a good sensible lifestyle, quite happy,............

Im not taking the job on as cant be arsed if any of you guys want it they pay £28 per m2 and that includes enabling... gimme 50p a meter ;)

Stressfull yes, but the rewards are there. I started out with a Ford escort site bashing at 23. We were getting done over by my then gaffer on the measures, everyone was moaning but they did nothing, so I approached the site agent for there next project cut my old gaffer out, I got a gang together and took the next site on, scrimped and funded it myself to pay the lads, and it went from there. Equally I know a fella who runs a huge roofing outfit 50 plus fellas, earns a fortune 200 grand a year plus and yet he lives like a monk, drives an old mondeo, never takes holidays etc, and you kind of think what's the point.

Lol another chancer like f**k**g big nose pretending to be the contractor when really your a sole trader with no subbies, trades full of jokers
Been in the trade 43 years and forgotten most than you lot know! I have work coming out of my ears but I was approached to do these! Anyway jog on there's good money to be earned on 1500 houses
