1 day Ewi course at weber is very basic. More of an insight. Don't know if they do longer.

To be honest you're better getting on with some experienced lads even labouring for them to get the experience. It's the only way forget the courses until you understand the process and product or you'll get nothing from them

You need an Nvq in Ewi or you won't get on sites give geason a call they have funding in most areas. and each funder uses different materials of which you can only get training for that system from the relevant supplier Wetherby Parex jub Knauf etc only cover you on there systems. So if you move site and new materials =new training.

What a load of b*ll***s

That makes no sense, it has nothing to do with wages.
Ok il break this down.
Cheap labour comes off the boat and they get carded by these courses to show they can do EWI.
All end up on sites making a **** of work yet real tradesmen with trade papers not a daft nvq pish cant doing anything about it.

I agree but if you listen to what this is about. It about an experienced guy needing the qualifications to continue working and I've seen plenty of time served lads that are not worth a labourers wage to. You can't learn jack s..t on any of these courses as anyone can do them. Maybe the manufacturers should take the oweness and add value to there products instead of being about sales alone and when it goes wrong blame the applicator.

This is simply trying to help a spread out if you don't like don't read the thread as we are all entitled to our opinions.
