dust sheets or tarpaulin

is it better to use dust sheets or tarpulin to protect carpet, also should uvpc windows and cills be masked off?

I use tarps when i can or polythene if i cant.
that said clear as you go and finish doesn't stain pvc.
Take most of it off wet leaving a trace. it'll dry and be easy to get off with a scourer.
Some stuff wont be so easy like bonding and s&c and for gods sake don't get bond-it or wba on it!

Watch out for unvarnished wood, like new skirtings and doors etc, if the customers going to stain them try not to get any plaster on this as it can burn the wood. Absolute nightmare to get out if at all. If they're painting it is'nt a problem.
