What's causing the damp? Pointless using rids and tanking it one or the other but before you go spending any money on potions find out the cause. You might not need anything could be just a blocked cavity or outside ground levels too high. Could be just penetrating damp yad tad tad blah blah blah.

i arent an expert no,thats why i posted on here asking for sensible peoples opinions.however the 5 people she originally had out for a quote all told her the same thing,that it was rising damp.maybe they were all wrong?

Oh and reduce exterior ground level, sort out penetrating damp issues, expanding foam in gaps around windows and get rid of the gypsum plasters that cause the problems
