Yeh I also heard that also not turning the tap on will slow the gauge downHand full of pea shingle in the gauging water will slow the gauge right down as well.

I have to say extra time is where it is at
If you add petrol it makes the mix really fast
If you add jam it makes it really sticky
If you add dry roasted peanuts it’s just makes it lumpy
I added a scotch egg into the mix once.... I don't really recommend it though!
