Hi lads

Got a Job on big extension which has been done in float and set the guys had a double sided brabas log burning fire installed was wondering the best way plasterer this up, spoke to the company and they suggest using a high fire resistance non conbustable board which due to timescale and that it needs to be ordered in from the builders yard this isn't possible (customer needs to move back in in 5 days and tiles and painting needs to be done) iv got some cement board on the job for the rendering on the outside so wer going to do the reveals to the fire in this and the rest in fireline board would this be ok? Cheers in advance

gypsum wnt withstand more than 49degrees mate, whats it floated in? or if youve floated it already just use victas plaster to skim it in

All the walls are in hardwall and multi, chimney breasts in brick so will dabbing with fireline and skimming not cut it mate?

nope sand cement lime and victas plaster, the fireline boards will take more heat than normal 49degrees but they will take it once and once only the multi wnt go above 49 and the dabs wnt either.
wen you float it out and skim it try not to use beads as they are susceptable to expansion and contraction and could cause cracking
